Antonio Perianes-Rodríguez. PhD
About me
I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Information and Library Science at the University Carlos III in Madrid. I have a Ph.D. Doctor Europeus in Information Science. I am a specialist in the assessment of science and technology activities, and the design and develop of analytic tools.
My main research activities are related to scholarly communication, scientometrics, research management and science policy emphasising formal knowledge production, consumption and dissemination. I am co-author of more than 100 publications including journal articles, conference papers, books and book chapters on these topics.
My teaching activities are linked to data mining, information visualisation, accessibility, user-experience and digital publishing.
I have been a research fellow and an invited teacher in international organisations such as Univerza v Ljubljani in Slovenia, University of Sussex in England, Universidade do Porto in Portugal, Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands, and Universidade Estadual Paulista in Brazil. I have also worked as a Policy Analyst at the Support to the Scientific Council Unit of the European Research Council Executive Agency in Brussels.
